New Website – Comments welcome!

Welcome to our new site – we hope you will find here what you are looking for, and perhaps some other things you weren’t looking for but are now glad you found after all:)  Some links are not yet made good, and some pages have yet to be populated – but there’s plenty of up to date information for you to browse through.

We are in the process of checking permissions with those who appear in photographs on the site.  If you spot yourself, and you’d rather not be on show then please email the Rector with your details.

Huge thanks to Dan and Expert IT :) :)

    Hello to all!

I very much hope that our new website lives upto and exceeds everyone’s expectations.

There are many hidden gems within the large collection of information available.

One of these certainly is ‘The Evolution of the Church Building’ page which I personally have not seen done before for a parish Church! (a link to this is shown on the right!)

Feel free to leave your thoughts using the form below! We’d love to know what you think.

    Kindest Regards (and Merry Christmas!)

    Daniel

I am very, very impressed. This is a truly professional job and I congratulate all responsible. Following Richard’s ‘Webbed feat’ article in the February Herald, I look forward to giving the website more publicity in future editions. Well done!

Well done, a great result. Like having hyperlinks emailed to make new items more accessible. How about having service info at the top of the pages section and then having the other headings arranged alphabetically with expanded bullet points below?

  5. Paul Baker says:

Very impressed by your web-site, especially the history and churchyard pages. Somebody must have burned the midnight oil! Will there be a map of the churchyard added (like the excellent memorials map) at some point so people can explore more easily?

  6. admin says:

Thanks Paul…. midnight oil indeed! Will definately take on board the suggestion of the churchyard map!

Hi Felix – thanks so much, thats great! Ive been away for a few days so have only just looked at it – really nice!

Is it ok to link it to the website?

  9. Felix Cecconi says:

I am fairly new to computers, not quite sure what linking to a website means but l`m sure its OK. Glad you like the video.

  10. Felix Cecconi says:

I`m not sure what linking to the website means (I`ve only had the computer for two years) but please do.

You might like to know for an outsider from Barnet who is coming to the church to attend ‘an event’ the website map is awful with no clear indication of where to find St Mary the Virgin. Trying to find the actual address of the church is well nigh impossible on the website. As you are working on the site at present thought you might like this feedback so you can rectify this as you no doubt have plenty of weddings and funerals etc. with people attending who don’t know Barnet.
