Pádraig grew up in Cork on the south coast of Ireland and has been living in Belfast since 2003. He currently divides his time between retreat work and community work. He is a regular contributor of poetry to the Greenbelt festival, and has worked with the Corrymeela community as a facilitator and poet in residence for dialogue programmes.

Two books are soon to be published, and Pádraig’s debut album Hymns to Swear By was released on 17th March 2010 and can be downloaded here.

His lecture, combining reflection, poetry and song, will explore how poetry can create a ‘safe space’ in the midst of conflict where compassion and understanding is able to grow.
