Pilgrimages 2010

Pilgrimages are part of our shared mission and ministry with Brookside Methodist Church

The Easter Monday Pilgrimage is on 5th April, and we depart from the Church Hall at 7.30am to begin our walk to St Albans!  More information about the event will be available on the Diocesan Website.

The St Albans Festival Pilgrimage will be on Saturday 19th June, and details are available here along with photographs of last year’s event.

Wednesday 20th January

Evening Pilgrimage to the Cathedral & Abbey Church of St Alban

Beginning at 7pm with refreshments, we will be taken on a  prayer tour around the Cathedral at 7.45pm, and ending with Compline in the Quire at 9pm and Procession to the Shrine of St Alban with departure at 9.30pm.

The cost is £5 per person and places must be booked and paid for in advance. Contact the Parish Office for further information.

Friday 25th-Sunday 27th June

Weekend Pilgrimage to Walsingham – England’s Nazareth

Like last year’s ecumenical pilgrimage, we will use the Methodist Chapel in Little Walsingham as our base but have a chance to experience the variety of spiritual traditions represented in this unique place of prayer.

As we will be visiting over a weekend there will be additional opportunities to experience the worship at the Anglican Shrine.

Accommodation is half board at the Shrine, and costs £85.50 per person.  Places are strictly limited, and booking forms are available from the Parish Office (£25 deposit required)
